Biography

Robert Sellers Smith is a Lead Software Engineer in the Software System Modernization department at Mitretek.  He conducts evaluations of the requirements, design and performance of large transaction processing applications.  Mr. Smith has also led the development of several applications.

Prior to Mitretek, Mr. Smith was the lead engineer on a re-design effort of a  telecommunications management system.  Mr. Smith was a member of the team developing the overall architecture and led a team developing the requirements and design for one of the sub-systems.

Mr. Smith has worked on several business transaction processing systems including:

• Development of a nation wide financial management system for the Navy Recruiting Command.

• Requirements definition and design of a telecommunications management system.

• Database assessment and performance analysis of high transaction rate criminal justice system.


• Data model, database and system performance assessment of a Land Management Resource System.
